That’s the main difference with other solutions, that are cloud based in general. It’s a totally free solution, that you install on your systems, so you keep control on your data. So typically, you can use it for home security, baby monitoring or many other things with cameras. As I told you in introduction, ZoneMinder is an open-source CCTV solution.
